No question that dogs and cats get the most attention, with totals of products exceeding 68,000 and 24,000, respectively, but vast arrays of other animals are given their due as well. Birds, both domesticated and wild, aren’t forgotten nor are small mammals like rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets and the like. Amazon’s selection of non-food pet products is even more impressive than that for chow. If you’re looking for a product for a critter, odds are that amazon offers it. Products for feeding and watering animals are seemingly limitless. Bedding, furniture, houses and other habitats abound. Mobility products like carriers, doors, ramps and other travel equipment are widely available. Leashes, collars, grooming aids and more toys than any child could want are abundant. There’s also a wide variety of training and behavioral aids not to mention books and other reference materials. Health supplies including medication and nutritional supplements are featured prominently as well. For the sad inevitability of the loss of a pet, there is a large selection of memorial products, many of which can be customized.
